Horse Dreams (After the Fires)

A commissioned painting, to include beloved horses and their landscape. Horses are moving models! Now I know their names, their stories, and the feel of their flanks and muzzles. The shapes of the horses echo the Mayacamas Mountain landscape that surrounds them. I’m a representational painter, more expressive than realist, often on the abstract edge.
