Artist statement

I have until fairly recently painted entirely “what I see” within an average view finder.. Not so much now!

I have taken to constructing my landscapes into the visually impossible but they are not initially obviously impossible. Both landscapes here have been visually extended beyond what is humanely possible to observe.
I have discovered my rule that only one dominant horizon line and only one man made object with its forward perspective seen on one side of the image.
Hence the impossible , showing a scene that explains more than 180 degrees can become plausible.
