My inspiration was the Polar Bear Plunge in Brigantine,NJ on 1/1/22. Bathers gathered on the beach New Years Day to run into the Atlantic ocean for charity. The day was cold, the sky gray and the clouds melted into the ocean. I tried to capture the moment when some of the swimmers were running out to escape the icy water while others stayed to continue celebrating.
