Staithes Low Tide

Pen & Ink Sketch hit with watercolor, soft pastels, and acrylics on #140 Strathmore done with my boat shoes soaking in the freezing mud at low tide. Boats are tough enough to draw and these were all on such weird angles that it was quite a challenge! The defused light over the village was the perfect background to highlight these proud working boats in their tough environment. Travel sketch.
