Montegut 1 is an en plein air painting of a small, deep south Louisiana fishing village, Montegut, near Pointe-Aux-Chenes. It's a little spot off the beaten path down in Terrebonne Parish world-renown for its incredible fishing, brackish-marshscapes, and kayaking. Wild ponies, salt and sunbleached oaks, private and public piers and tugboats are mainstays, especially down at Eddie's waterside Kayak Rental and Bait shop. The view is from our raised camp rental looking out over the inland waterways at sunset.
