Walking In The Light

I painted this with Oil on top of an Acrylic underpainting on Canvas Board,using scrapers to create the illusion of soft edges. This allows the oils to be moved around while returning to the permanent underpainting if desired.
I took this photo in Hopetown, Abacos before Hurricane Dorian destroyed most of the island. When I painted it I after the hurricane I wanted to capture the feeling that this woman was not alone even though she may have felt that way, as she was walking in the Light.
