The painting was done en plein air, over 2 sessions, and finished in the studio. The setting is a small waterfall in a local park, Laverne County Park in Coos County, Oregon. I went back a couple of months after our rainy season started, and the water was so high that the little waterfall couldn't be seen. It's a sweet spot for locals to camp and fish, off of a back country road in our spectacularly beautiful area.
