I fell in love with little girl. I had the good fortune to travel to the jungles of Mexico and Guatemala to visit partially excavated Mayan ruins. We boarded thatch covered boats to cross clandestinely into Guatemala to visit Piedros Negros. When we returned in the late afternoon some of the villagers greeted us on the river's beach. This inquisitive engaging little girl was with her father on the river's beach. I snapped a photo of her which I used as my reference. I wonder what her life holds for her as she grows up in this very remote river village, 3 hours from any main road.
