Sharp

Medium is soft pastel on Sennelier Pastel Card with just a couple of swipes of pastel pencil.
I traveled to Oaxaca City, Mexico in December 2022 and was captivated by this entrepreneurial knife sharpener who I saw on the back streets of Oaxaca. I was also struck by the appearance and class difference between his dress, and the dress of his customer. The customer's jeans looked new and his shoes were highly shined. I was told by a local that no self-respecting Mexican man would be caught with dusty dirty shoes.
