Winter in Yellowstone

I was inspired to paint this winter scene I photographed in Yellowstone National Park because of the light and shadow shapes, and the atmosphere. I used a somewhat limited palette of blues and oranges to compliment the white of the snow. It is painted on an oil-primed linen panel.
