This large oil painting depicts Red Rocks, a Colorado landmark featuring a dramatic cloudscape. Upon close inspection, the viewer will notice a gold miner joyfully leading his donkey to what he hopes will be the Land of Plenty. They can be seen on the lower right. This painting is, in a way, a self portrait. Having grown in a place where an artist is unlikely to make it, I’m hoping to find success upon my return to the States.
