Dune Shack

I visited and took photos of the Dune shacks of Cape Cod one recent summer vacation. These are old summer homes from the early 1900's built in the dunes of Provincetown Massachusetts. The weathered dwellings were built out of debris and ship wreck ruins. They have been used by artists & writers seeking solitude since then. I wanted to give a romanticized glow to this shack- basking in balmy, soft colored sea air-as it may feel to an artist staying there, immersed in creative bliss. Done partly with palette knife to keep it loose and free feeling.
