The Fable of the Yellow-rumped Warbler

I live at a certified wildlife habitat, where I care for wildlife and create my artwork. I observed these Warblers as they fed on the seeds of our Laurel Sumac this past November and December. It became a sight I would look forward to almost every morning. The mountain view in the background is locally a well known sight of Saddle Peak, which I sketched out in detail prior to creating this work. Its sandstone cliffs and the microwave tower make for an unmistakable Topanga Canyon view.
