Larch

Graphite and Gouache on Stonehenge Toned Paper. It was Winter, and in a gust of wind I saw the seeds of the larch flying in the air and immediately thought that it would make an excellent theme for a drawing. I then observed and studied the tree in the field, collected specimens and did many sketches during the winter and developed the final drawing in studio.
