Spring in the Park

Spring in the Park, Plein Air Work ONLY
Spring in the Park
The painting "Spring in the Park" shows my skills in outdoor painting, which I developed in the art school and later in the art academy. The painting shows my fascination with the paintings of impressionists, in particular, those of Claude Monet. Indeed, in following the impressionists, I did not use black paint, and bluish, blue and violet colours are predominant in the shadows. The overall mood is soft, the colour palette is not cold and not warm, and it shows nature's transition from one condition to another. The painting shows the beginning of spring, with the time of day being the transition from daytime to twilight. With such a challenging task, the colours in the painting are also intricate, and the combination of colours is an attendant-contrasting one. The beginning of spring and the blossoming of first flowers – the time for starting relations and going on first dates – is why I depicted a boy and a girl strolling in the park.
