Oil. On a cool October late night stroll with my wife on an empty Palace Avenue in Santa Fe, the full moon was shooting beams of light in all directions. This painting was done with a series of glazes that change the appearance of the image depending on how much light it receives. For example, the moonbeams are not visible unless there is enough light to reveal them. I imagine this is how the moon might present itself when no one is looking. Magical. Mystical. Majestic.
